Amy and Erling's birth story

Thank you so much for all your support during my pregnancy and birth.
I have never felt safer or more cared for than I did in my own home with Birthe and Petra (Min Fødsel midwifes).

My husband and I were amazed by how intuitively you supported us during the labour, giving us all the space we needed and then being totally present in the crucial moments. It was such a wonderful bonus to see my husband, who was against a homebirth initially, totally in his element and bolstered by your reassuring presence.

It was a truly bonding experience for us and by far my best birth and his best experience as my birth partner. I couldn’t imagine a better welcome for my baby girl.

We wish you so much success with Min Fødsel. And I think ‘My Birth’ is such an apt name for your organisation. This is my third baby, but it’s the first time that I’ve felt that the birth was all mine.

I think everyone deserves that same level of autonomy and empowerment when facing something as challenging as birth and parenthood but of course not everyone gets it.

So thank you so much for starting this incredible service and giving women this choice and the opportunity to own their bodies and their births. My baby girl and I are eternally grateful 💖
